Ready to groove the night

The street on which my home and office were situated is a ten minute walk from Wiesbaden main station. It is located in an area with various restaurants offering cuisines from all over the world such as Greek, Vietnamese and Turkish etc, along with a lot of convenient stores close by. One day we walked to the city centre, which is lined by cute shops along cobble street paths, housing local and international brands. Some shops had unusual and interesting products, and browsing shop windows is a great and popular attraction for tourists. This kind of shopping experience is so interesting and different from the mall culture that is booming in India.

On my second day at work, my  colleague Lisa asked me if I would like to accompany her to a concert in Mainz after work, and I – being the social night bird – could not have been more delighted. It was my first of many train journeys to come… I ended up buying two tickets instead of one and arrived in Mainz, ready to groove the night. The concert started a little later than expected, but all in good time. There were two bands performing. The first was Zedonk and the Beat Suits and the second was The Rattlesnake Orchestra. Both bands were really good and though I only understood the lead singer of the first band (who sang in English), the latter made up in performance and gimmicks.

I’m glad you enjoyed the concert! I had a great time and hope to see you soon – either in India or Wiesbaden :)
